OBITUARY: Josephine A. Turnbull 1938 - 2007

Josephine A. Turnbull, 69, of Merrimack died Saturday April 28, 2007 at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua after a battle with cancer. She was born March 19, 1938 in Manchester, NH and was the daughter of Stanley and Mabel (Jervah) Wieczhalek. She was raised and educated in the Lowell, MA area, and had been a resident of Merrimack since 1968. Mrs. Turnbull was a homemaker, and “Jack of all Trades”. She was an accomplished crotchetier and was a contributing member of the Linus Project, a group that provides blankets and throws for children and other people experiencing difficult times. Mrs. Turnbull was also deeply religious, and a devout member of the First Congregational Church of Merrimack. Members of the family include her husband of 42 years, Lee Turnbull of Merrimack, 3 sons and 2 daughters-in-law, Wayne M. & Diane Turnbull of Hooksett, Joseph A. Turnbull of Manchester, and Glenn & Michele Turnbull of Brookline, NH, 1 daughter and son-in-law, Lisa & Chris Jennings of Merrimack, 13 grandchildren, Allison, Jennifer, Ricky, Michael, Emily and Caitlin Turnbull, and Christopher, Brittany, Brian, Amelia, David, Ethan, and William Jennings. 1 brother, Charles Wieczhalek of Hudson, 3 sisters, Mildred Nicholas, and Shirley Berube, both of Lowell, MA, and Mabel Chamberlain of Ashby, MA. As well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. There are no calling hours. A Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00AM at the First Congregational Church of Merrimack. Burial will follow at Last Rest Cemetery of Merrimack. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Deacon’s Needy Fund C/O the First Congregational Church of Merrimack, 7 Baboosic Lake Rd. Merrimack, NH 03054.
